We are currently looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer (Remote) to our team in North América.
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will lead pre-sales activities in North America, including customer engagements, product demonstrations, RFP/RFI responses, technical evaluations, and Proof of Concept (POC) projects. You will collaborate with Account Executives and Product Management to drive new business and position the product as a critical tool for law enforcement and national security agencies.
As a Cognyter, you will:
- Lead the pre-sales activities across North America, including customer engagements, technical presentations, and POCs.
- Partner with Account Executives as a subject matter expert in data analytics and product`s capabilities.
- Develop compelling product demonstrations.
- Conduct product presentations and POCs for prospects, customers, and partners—virtually and in person.
- Lead RFI/RFP responses, including requirements mapping, solution design, technical Q&A, and solution sizing.
- Communicate product’s technical capabilities and collaborate with engineering, marketing, product, and senior leadership as needed.
Requirements
For this mission, you’ll need:
- Proven experience in a pre-sales role, leading technical sales processes and customer engagements.
- Strong technical background, including expertise in relevant technologies and solution architectures.
- 2–4 years of pre-sales experience (Analyst experience in LEA or NS organizations is a plus).
- Familiarity with sales techniques and tools.
- Experience with Linux, including command-line navigation and file system management.
- Strong understanding of cloud architectures (compute, storage, networking) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written & verbal).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a distributed team.
- Fluent English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to maintain a home office with a stable internet connection.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
- US citizen required.

If hired for this position, the base salary range would be between $135k-$150k. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to work location, skills, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Cognyte’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commission and short and long-term incentives.
