CBR is the oldest and most respected comic book culture website in the world. It is the internet’s first and final stop for nerd culture, news, commentary and community. 

Our editorial team is looking for writers to create the kind of fun, informative, and engaging The Legend of Zelda-focused Lists that our discerning audience demands, with the eye-catching aesthetic they crave. The selected candidate will have tremendous career growth and internal development opportunities within the organization.

What we are looking for: 

  • A passion for video games, writing, and a drive to grow within the industry 
  • Broad working knowledge of The Legend of Zelda series, but also the general gaming industry as a whole (including major AAA titles, retro games, JRPGs, Pokémon, Final Fantasy, Nintendo and FromSoftware)
  • Up to date with new video game releases
  • The ability to analyze content and pull directly from the source material to back up claims 
  • A sharp eye for grammatical details 
  • Excellent command of the English language 
  • Ability to write high-quality articles with swift turn-around times 
  • Comfortable working in an entirely virtual environment 
  • Should possess a general understanding of comics culture and strong research skills

Responsibilities:

  • Write articles in CBR’s house style (following the requisite training) 
    • This will include fact-checking, formatting, linking, and image sourcing/very basic editing (sizing, brightness, etc.) 
  • Brainstorm, pitch, and develop original content ideas that’ll be published on-site
  • Accept and apply any/all feedback received by the editorial team
  • Communicate openly and actively with the editorial team
