WHY WE’RE HERE
Our team builds XR software used by IVAS that will make an impact in the real world. We augment situational awareness via Lattice as well as simulate scenarios to train and test users. Our users will depend on our software to improve their well being and safety in contested environments, as well as improve effectiveness in the field. This provides a developer the ability to create tangible impacts in revolutionizing the way humans perceive their operational environment. You will have an opportunity to have direct, and iterative access, to feedback for creating these impactful XR solutions.
Tools developers in this role will support our in-house game engine and be responsible for building core engine features as well as tools to allow content developers and engineers integrate features. Expect to get you hands into current deep engine capabilities as well as developing new ones.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work closely with designers and other game engineers to advance the game engine platform for IVAS
- Further develop our in-house game engine
- Implement end to end tooling to improve content developer iteration
- Build specific tools to assist with XR development
- Ensure a very high bar of reliability and stability for released software
- Analyze and optimize both memory and performance for an in-house game engine
- Identify problems; solve them: implement robust, high-quality solutions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent C++ skills and software engineering principles
- Experience working in large codebases to solve complex problems.
- Minimum five years of professional programming experience
- Solid understanding of 3D math
- Ability to write clean, maintainable and extensible code with attention to reusability
- Built multiple tools for at least one shipped title
- Excellent spoken and written communication
- US Person status (permanent resident or citizen) is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- TypeScript or related scripting experience
- OpenXR development experience
- Shipped at least one AAA game title in a similar role
- Be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
US Salary Range
$138,000—$252,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
