We are seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Funding Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will take ownership of loans once closing documents are finalized, ensuring an efficient and timely funding process. What You’ll Do 

• Coordinate with title companies, borrowers, loan originators, and processors to ensure timely loan funding and resolve discrepancies. 

• Process wire transfers for first mortgage loans and balance amounts with closing agents. 

• Verify loan application documents, including title, HOI (Homeowner's Insurance), and appraisal, ensuring compliance and clearing conditions before funding. 

• Ensure all paperwork is signed, and PTF (Prior to Funding) conditions are met before wiring funds. 

• Communicate with closing agents to verify wire instructions and reconcile wire amounts with investor purchase advice to ensure accurate revenue reporting. 

• Update Loan Origination System (LOS) with status dates and necessary documentation. 

• Coordinate with UMortgage’s closing department to ensure wires are sent on time and funds are accurate. 

• Take on other tasks as needed to support business objectives. 

What You Need 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mortgage role, within the Funding 

• Team-oriented, adaptable, and accountable 

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Excellent customer service and written communication skills 

• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills 

• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects with multiple deadlines. 

• Experience with multiple lender platforms and TPO Portals (UWM and HPF are a plus) 

• Experience in the Broker Channel and Non-Delegated/Correspondent Channel is ideal. 

• Experience working with Loan Originators, Processors, Title Companies, and Settlement Agents.
