We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Expert in SAP Logistics (MM/SD/WM) to join our team. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance and support in the areas of SAP Logistics.
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of business process knowledge and application expertise in SAP Logistics including integration knowledge with SAP PP & QM. You will be responsible for validating design and effort estimates, approving/rejecting change requests, reviewing and approving user requirements, design documents, and functional/technical specifications. Additionally, you will actively participate in key projects and assist in scoping for new demands while providing advisory support to the business on SAP solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Change Approval Board (CAB) and Design Authority Board (DAB):
- Validate the design and effort estimates: Review and verify proposed design solutions and effort estimates to ensure alignment with organizational standards and requirements.
- Approve/Reject Change Requests: Assess and make decisions on change requests based on feasibility, impact on existing systems, budget, and alignment with business objectives.
- Projects:
- Review and Approve Documentation: Thoroughly review and approve project documents, including user requirements, design documents, functional/technical specifications, ensuring adherence to standards and requirements.
- Hands-on Participation for Key Projects: Actively contribute to key projects by providing expertise, guidance, troubleshooting, quality checks, and working on project deliverables.
- Subject Matter Expertise:
- Level 3 Support for AMS: Provide level 3 support for Application Management Services (AMS), resolving complex issues, investigating problems, and implementing solutions.
- Participate in Critical/Major Incidents: Respond to critical or major incidents, utilizing expertise to analyse and promptly resolve incidents, minimizing business impact.
- Scoping:
- Help in Scoping for New Demand: Analyse business requirements, propose SAP solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, conduct feasibility assessments, and provide input on scope, timeline, and resources.
- Advisory Role to Business on SAP Solution: Act as an advisor, offering guidance and recommendations on SAP solutions, leveraging expertise to provide insights into best practices, risks, and benefits.
About you
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP MM/SD/WM modules, with a strong focus on integration with PP and QM modules.
- Experience in both project implementation and support roles, including full lifecycle implementations and post-go-live support.
- Deep understanding of business processes in procurement, sales, inventory management, warehouse management, production planning, and quality management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP configuration, customization, and enhancement techniques within the MM/SD/WM modules.
- Demonstrated expertise in integrating SAP modules, specifically MM/SD/WM with PP and QM.
- Experience in data migration, data conversion, and system interfaces within the SAP landscape.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to SAP Logistics.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Solid experience with service management principles, ITIL framework, and incident management processes.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
- Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – Material Management, Sales and Distribution and/or Warehouse Management) are highly desirable.

- Familiarity with SAP technical skills such as basic programming concepts and debugging.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Active listener with the ability to challenge requirements.
- Analytical and synthetic, able to formalize solutions, and possesses good writing skills.
