The Data Security and Valorization Solutions Department is part of the Desjardins Group Support Functions IT Division. It often works on high-visibility projects that have a cross-sector scope across Desjardins. As a functional analyst, you actively participate in developing a highly complex, large-scale business solution that has significant impact and scope across the entire organization. You make and are accountable for strategic decisions. You lead and serve as a specialist for the continuous delivery, maintenance and updating of solutions. You lead your team and regularly collaborate with other teams. You serve as a specialist advisor and subject matter expert for dedicated clients and partners. As a team player, you demonstrate open-mindedness toward agile approaches, which also means versatility and a desire to contribute to all work the team does. More specifically, you will be required to:

Provide the team with guidance on the analysis of business solutions and help them improve their delivery times

Collaborate, as a specialist, on the feasibility or detailed design of the solution

Cocreate with our business partners to define needs and manage backlogs

Work with the product owner and project team to define functional specifications and exceptions
-
Advise and guide the development team and product owner by recommending different functional alternatives aligned with the architecture

Help define and guide scopes (stories, releases, sprints, projects, tests)

Work with the architect to develop functional testing strategies
-
Define, guide and oversee the execution of automated and/or manual tests within your scope (specific cases/exceptions), with a focus on the end-to-end process

Produce or update required documentation.

Take responsibility for implementing and managing incidents/problems within your scope

Monitor development technologies and practices and serve as a mentor for the development team in terms of technology and methods

What you bring to the table

Bachelor's degree in a related field

A minimum of six years of relevant experience as a functional analyst in a software development and systems integration environment

Experience collecting business needs

Knowledge of French is required

Expertise in drafting and documenting functional specifications
