Job Title: Fullstack Software Engineer - Tech Lead
Company: Pika Earth, Inc.
Location: SF/New York (we value in-person time in either of our hubs — but we are open to remote on a case-by-case basis)
Salary Range: $210,000-260,000 w/ generous equity
About Pika Earth, Inc.:
Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of high-efficiency appliances (HVAC, plumbing etc.) in homes and businesses, partnering with contractors to build a more reliable, energy-efficient and cost-effective world. A purchase decision today can impact energy use for a decade or more. We help contractors sell more efficient appliances like heat pumps, which could reduce our national emissions by 9%. That’s equivalent to taking 70M cars off the road! We help companies show savings from energy costs and rebates, and we’ve demonstrated a 27% improvement in home services sales conversion. Unifying technicians, homeowners, and utility companies onto a single platform also creates enormous future opportunities to improve and transform the energy grid.
In addition to our passion for our mission, we have a strong business. Since the end of 2023, our products have deployed in 26 states and achieved 3x quarterly revenue growth by partnering with small businesses as well as some of the largest home services brands in the US. Pika’s small but mighty team, with alumni from Asana, Retool, Slack, and Dropbox, combines subject matter expertise, business acumen, and exceptional speed of execution. We are proud to be backed by top investors, including Sequoia Capital, Bling Capital, BoxGroup, and key leaders in the energy and services sector.
This decade is a make-or-break time to fight climate change. Join us – time is of the essence.
Role Description:
You’re an expert at making the ambiguous concrete and the complex simple. You have a strong opinion on how to balance "doing it right" with "getting it done." You enjoy discussing the merits of different architectural patterns as much as you enjoy cranking out great code. You love making your codebase a pleasant place to work, whether that’s by improving tooling and processes or evangelizing best practices. You enjoy code review and mentorship and always look for ways to scale your impact.
