About the role:

We’re seeking a Fullstack Product Engineer with a backend focus to help us build new and maintain existing products deployed on our Kubernetes platform, most notably Modelhub(models.arcee.ai) at the time of writing. In this role, you’ll leverage Node.js, consistent data stores like postgres and redis (sometimes with an ORM like Drizzle) to ensure seamless deployment via Docker-based development both locally and in your production deployments. You’ll also collaborate with the front-end team, working on React and TailwindCSS, to deliver a consistent user experience.

What you’ll do:

• Implement features that depend on i/o from language models.

  
  

• Develop and maintain backend services in Python (FastAPI) and Node.js

  
  

• Implement modern, standards-based solutions utilizing HTTP, Restful APIs, and event-driven patterns

  
  

• Collaborate with infrastructure to ensure your applications are monitored, observable, and are maintainable.  

  
  

• Use the existing platform tools and our kubernetes inference cluster to deliver great products quickly and consistently.

  
  

• Collaborate with front-end engineers using React, Vite, and TailwindCSS for cohesive, user-friendly interfaces  

  
  

• Leverage Redis and PostgreSQL as consistent data stores for caching and persistence, and branch out to AI specific database solutions such as a vector database.

  
  

•  Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning to drive team 

  success.

What we’re seeking:

• Ready and already embracing AI as a part of their day to day, and ready to productionize AI features for the masses.

  
  

• Solid experience in Python and FastAPI for building production-level backend services  

  
  

• Proficiency with Node.js for server-side application development  

  
  

• Familiarity with a database driver and thoughtful query building. Comfortable using ORMs (like Drizzle) for database modeling.

  
  

• Understanding of HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 protocols and existing best practice standards such as OWASP

  
  

• Working knowledge of React, and TailwindCSS, with the ability to collaborate on front-end tasks as needed  

  
  

• Hands-on experience with Redis and PostgreSQL in a production environment  

  
  

• Comfort with container-based development (Docker) and CI/CD practices  

  
  

• Strong communication and a collaborative mindset, eager to solve complex problems in a small, dynamic team in a testable manner.

  
  

• Someone user-first, security conscious, aware of SOC2 and compliance needs

  
  

• Comfortable working with and debugging apps deployed on a Kubernetes infrastructure with help from the Grafana Observability Stack.
