At GrabFin, we empower the people of Southeast Asia, from consumers and drivers to every-day entrepreneurs, by ensuring financial inclusion for the underserved. The team is building solutions by enabling our partners (i.e. drivers and merchants) to get access to financial services (lending and insurance) products for their everyday needs.

Get to know the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our engineering team in Jakarta, Indonesia. As a Fullstack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both client-side and server-side applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across our technology stack.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient web applications using both front-end and back-end technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in fullstack development
• Work closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing initiatives

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in fullstack development
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Solid knowledge of back-end programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or Node.js)
• Familiarity with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture
• Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus
• Commitment to staying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies
