Full-stack Developer, Customer and Partner

Our IT unit, Customer and Partner, is seeking a Fullstack Developer with strong frontend skills. We focus on developing and maintaining digital solutions for If’s customers. You will belong into group developing self-service solutions for our B2B customers. Digitalisation is key in our strategy to be able to serve our customers better. It is important that our customers can easily handle their insurances through our digital channels.

About the role
As a Fullstack Developer, you will be responsible for development of our web applications towards our B2B customers. You will work closely with designers, developers, PO’s and other stakeholders to create intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user experiences. You will also conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, high-quality web applications with a focus on frontend architecture.

• Implement features using React, TypeScript, and CSS while ensuring best practices in responsive web design, accessibility and usability.

• Collaborate with design teams to integrate design systems and maintain consistency across projects.

• Develop and manage a micro-frontend architecture, ensuring seamless integration across multiple teams.

• Contribute to backend development with Azure services and C#/.NET for robust application functionality.

• Optimize build, test, and deployment processes using Azure Pipelines and YAML for efficient CI/CD workflows.

• Advocate for accessibility standards and implement accessible solutions to meet diverse user needs.

About the team
You will be joining our largest squad within the B2B Tribe, known as Iffinity. This squad is dedicated to developing a self-service digital journeys for If’s B2B customers. The squad consists of around 10 members, and our working language is English, reflecting the diverse cultural backgrounds of our team. While we operate in a hybrid work model, most of our developers are based in Espoo.

Who are you? 
We are hoping that you have at least 5 years of experience in Fullstack development. You have proficiency in HTML, CSS, React and JavaScript and you have strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. We also value experience in backend plus version control systems (e.g. Git), automated testing frameworks and knowledge on accessibility standards.

You also have:

•    Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    We value if you have knowledge on accessibility standards
•    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
•    Excellent teamwork skills
•    Ability to lead and mentor junior developers
 

Additionally, we value someone who is self-motivated, possesses good communication skills, and demonstrates a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset. Depending on the skills and interest it is also possible to mentor other developers especially on frontend side.
