The Team:
The Front Office team partners with portfolio management, risk teams and economists to provide applications for data-analysis and improved workflows, and is continuing to grow to better support further business expansion.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- Partner with portfolio managers and strategists to drive new products for Front Office
- Working with quantitative developers to deliver robust and efficient system architectures
- Steer and ensure the technical architecture for the products delivered are sound
TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential:
- Excellent knowledge of Typescript and React
- Experience architecting single-page applications
- Comfortable interacting with internal end users
- Comfortable wireframing and breaking down requirements into deliverables
- Previous experience leading a small team
Desirable:
- Exposure to JavaScript charting/visualisation libraries
- Testing React apps using Storybook and MSW
- Exposure to building desktop apps with Electron
- Comfortable with NoSQL/relational databases
- Comfortable with node and some python
- Strong understanding of common data structures
- Fixed income product knowledge
