About the Role
Are you a front-end guru who enjoys bringing ideas to life in the browser? Do you have a passion for solving users' tough problems in an elegant way? Do you do a fist pump when your unit tests all go green? If you said yes, Yes, YES, then we may have a home for you. Our front-end teams are focused on bringing our apps to life on the screen. We're looking for a front-end software engineer with experience building functional, intuitive, and stunning user interfaces. You will turn visual design and wireframes into functional pages while offering ideas on how to improve the user experience. You are well-versed in the latest frameworks and are always looking for ways to make your apps easier to use and more powerful at the same time.
In this role, you will:
You will be a part of an exciting program that serves the core operational mission of our Sponsor. This mid-sized, high-visibility program is paving the way for next-generation search, and content curation capabilities at the heart of what our customer does. We are truly transforming the way our Sponsor does business and we need your help! Our program's high-performance development teams leverage modern technologies and practices including Lean Agile, Clean Code, and DevOps. In this role you’ll be supporting a product team for our application, learning what makes our Sponsor who they are, integrating with multiple external systems. You will have the opportunity to influence how our customer executes their mission. With classified contracts we know it’s hard to share what we do and have it mean anything. Trust us (and our giant snack supplies), you want to work with us on this program… and we want you too.
You might thrive in this role if you:
- Possess an active Secret Clearance
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
- Have proven experience with React.
- Experience in Software Engineering
You will excel in this role if you have also these skills:
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience with Next.js
- Experience with state management
- Experience with HTML5/CSS3
- Experience with developing accessible web applications in accordance with WCAG guidelines
- Experience with E2E testing frameworks like Protractor, Playwright, Selenium, or PhantomJS
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Karma, or Jasmine
- Experience converting UX mockups to UIs
- Experience working with AWS (AWS certification a double plus!)
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Experience with Continuous Integration software like CodeBuild or Jenkins
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
