Front End Engineer

In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in React, Styled Components, and API integration to develop seamless, intuitive, and responsive experiences for our customers. You'll contribute to our design systems, write high-quality, reusable code, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.

In this role, you’ll:

• Work with the squad to build the front-end capability and API integration for a customer facing applications using React, Styled components, Design System.
• Help build and develop the applications by writing high-quality, reusable, accessible, and responsive code.
• Contribute to our existing systems, services and libraries such as Design Systems and component libraries owned by the team.
• Provide realistic assessments and estimates to the business regarding the time and complexity of assigned tasks.
• Review and test your own work as well as your peers’ work to ensure that standards and quality levels are met.
• Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle for your work, including development, testing, production release, and ongoing support.
• Proactively supports and monitor the applications owned by the team.
• Partner with product and business stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure their successful delivery.
• Follow the process in-place for the team such as the agile ceremonies, story kick-offs and walkthroughs.

About you:

• With a strong background in Front-end development, including experience working with React.
• Familiarity in React Hooks and Router, State Management, Styled Components/Emotion.
• Has experience in automated testing using react testing framework, Jest, Cypress and etc.
• Has a strong understanding on Context API, redux and state management.
• Able to develop optimal solutions for both customers and the business by delving into challenges and collaborating with colleagues through brainstorming.
• Desirable: Has understanding in AWS infrastructure and Devops.
• Desirable: Has knowledge on GraphQL and BFF Pattern.
• Able to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Taking initiative to identify improvements, suggest optimisations, and take responsibility for the quality of the work.
