Golin Chicago is currently looking for Freelance, SVP, Executive Director, Catalyst to a lead and manage client relationships. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership across corporate affairs to counsel and ensure client satisfaction for a global biopharmaceutical company. We are looking for a strong leader and counselor with the ability to think cross-platform by contributing to an integrated team.


We are looking for someone who can join us in a Freelance capacity and can commit to up to 52 hours for 3 months.


You will:

  • Specialize in employee engagement and internal communications for global organizations.
  • Create strategic approach for employee recognition programs and internal communication campaigns.
  • Lead and manage client relationships to stay on track per client scopes and deliverables.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to junior team members to develop communication assets and materials.

Job Qualifications:

  • 12+ years relevant experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.
  • Ability to engage with and counsel senior level decision-makers across the client’s business and deliver connective insights to assist clients in driving alignment and execution of cross-company initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with clients on day-to-day activities, managing teams to execute public relations plans effectively, and drafting and implementing communications programs within budget.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to mobilize others to achieve a common goal, while also recognizing when it’s needed to roll up your sleeves and do the job yourself.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field is preferred.

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations. Hourly rate: $150/hour.
