The Role:
Sunbit is looking for a Fraud Operations Manager to lead a team of investigators and analysts in detecting and preventing fraud across all of our products. As a strategic leader, you'll develop and implement tactics to mitigate threats, foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, and partner with cross-functional teams to support business growth while reducing losses. You'll own the day-to-day operations for fraud investigations, provide mission critical updates to stakeholders, and drive process improvements through data-driven insights.
Requirements
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead a team of fraud investigators and analysts to review alerts, conduct investigations, and develop strategies to prevent and mitigate fraud. Develop and implement team performance metrics and goals, with regular feedback and coaching, to attract and retain top talent in the field of fraud operations.
- Collaborate across multiple job families and roles (investigators, analysts, product teams, engineering, risk strategy, customer support, and senior stakeholders) to ensure a unified understanding of fraud patterns and strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and best practices through regular training and professional development opportunities. Research emerging fraud trends to support the innovation of Sunbit's decisioning systems and policies. Develop and implement data-driven specifications with a clear business purpose to inform risk strategy development.
- Implement a clear escalation process for complex or high-risk cases to ensure timely resolution.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in fraud and/or risk management
- Minimum 3 years of experience building and managing first-line operations.
- Strong background in process development and improvement.
- Investigative and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within banking, fintech/neobanks, or insurance
