As the FP&A Manager, you will report to the Director of FP&A and serve as a Finance Business Partner to CrossCountry’s Market and Service Line Leaders. This role will play a key part in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, ensuring alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate financial insights into strategic recommendations. We are also considering candidates based in Chicago or New York.
Key responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for assigned markets and service lines.
- Provide variance analysis and actionable insights on financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with the accounting team on the monthly financial close to ensure budget/forecast variances are properly addressed in a timely manner
- Execute ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects, as directed by finance leadership
- Business Partnering & Strategy:
- Act as a strategic advisor to Market and Service Line Leaders, providing financial guidance and scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive profitability, efficiency, and revenue growth.
- Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and investment decisions.
- Reporting & Insights:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Deliver presentations to senior leadership, translating financial data into clear, strategic insights.
- Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
- Enhance financial processes and reporting tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial analysis, planning, and business intelligence.
- Drive continuous improvement in FP&A methodologies and systems.
- Team Leadership:
- · Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and excellence.
Qualifications and Skills
- FP&A experience within a professional services firm.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proficiency in financial planning applications (Adaptive), and intermediate proficiency in accounting ERPs (Sage Intacct), resource management applications (Kantata) and CRM systems (Salesforce), with the ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize these systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and anomalies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and addressing stakeholder inquiries.
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to proactively identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
