About this role

As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll sit at the intersection of Finance, Strategy, and Data, helping us understand business performance, forecast future growth, and support commercial decision-making. Your work will provide clarity and insight to key stakeholders across the business including our Senior Leadership Team, enabling better, faster decisions.

  • Data-driven insights: Use SQL, BI tools and GSheets to analyze financial and operational data, turning numbers into clear, actionable insights.
  • Commercial finance & business partnering: Work with teams such as Product, Marketing, and Operations to evaluate financial impacts, pricing strategies, contract management, and growth initiatives.
  • Revenue & expense analysis: Monitor key financial drivers, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Reporting & automation: Execute, build and improve financial models, dashboards, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Accounting & financial close support: Assist in ensuring financials are accurate, working closely with statutory finance and treasury during monthly close cycles.
  • Budgeting & forecasting: Support financial planning cycles, working on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to track Stake’s performance.

A bit about you

  • 4 years of experience in finance, commercial finance, data analytics, or a related role.
  • SQL skills – comfortable writing queries, extracting data, and working with large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills – financial modeling, pivot tables, automation.
  • Strong commercial acumen – you understand key business drivers and how financial data translates into strategic decisions.
  • Accounting knowledge – solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow (CPA/CA/CFA not required, but a plus if you have this or have a desire to obtain it).
  • Budgeting & forecasting experience is a plus – experience managing financial plans and analyzing variances.
  • Experience with BI tools (HEX, Databricks, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

At Stake, we’re more interested in your attitude than your resume. If you believe this is a role you want to jump into, please apply and let us know why in your cover letter!
