Rhombus is purposefully transforming the nation’s defense and national security enterprises with Guardian, its Artificial Intelligence platform for strategic, operational, and tactical decision-making at the speed of relevance.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Rhombus Power, you will be at the forefront of integrating our cutting-edge AI platform, Guardian, into the operational frameworks of our clients. This role demands a unique blend of technical prowess, strategic thinking, and client engagement. You will work directly with clients to deploy, customize, and enhance our software solutions, ensuring they maximize the value of their data and achieve decision superiority.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Problem Solving: Collaborate with clients to understand their operational challenges and tailor technical solutions to meet their needs.

  • Software Deployment & Integration: Configure, deploy, and optimize Guardian within client environments, ensuring seamless data integration with existing infrastructure.

  • Custom Development: Develop scripts, APIs, and automation tools to extend platform functionality and improve performance.

  • Data Engineering & Analysis: Design ETL pipelines, optimize data processing workflows, and build visualizations that enable clients to make data-driven decisions.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, working across cloud environments, databases, and security protocols.

  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Act as the bridge between clients and internal engineering teams to drive product improvements based on real-world use cases.

Qualifications:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript.

  • Experience with SQL and database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Naturally driven to adapt quickly to new industries and technologies to tackle ambiguous, open-ended problems. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical solutions to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • A hands-on, problem-solving mindset—thriving in dynamic environments and building solutions on the go. You'll be in the drivers' seat. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working with government, defense, or enterprise data systems.

  • Knowledge of data security, compliance, and access control models.

  • Familiarity with machine learning, AI-driven analytics, or cybersecurity solutions.

  • Prior experience in a forward-deployed, consulting, or solutions engineering role.
