The Massachusetts Bio-Campus is part of Manufacturing and Supply (M&S), Specialty Care GBU and is included into Rare Disease, Oncology, and Immunology manufacturing cluster (RDOI). It has two industrial sites and is specialized in multiple high-end bio-manufacturing, supporting Sanofi’s portfolio of rare disease and oncology drugs, plus few specialty products like biosurgery and vaccines. They are operating together as a large bio-campus, with drug substance industrialization, manufacturing and testing facilities located in Framingham, while raw material testing, material handling, packaging, and warehousing are in Northborough.
With more than 700 employees, the bio campus supports a strategic portfolio for Sanofi and will deliver a strong growth over the coming years (+30%), with commercial products like Fabrazyme, Cerezyme, Thyrogen and multiple launches expected.
The Flow Controller is responsible for managing the end-to-end (E2E) flow of batch production, on the 0–3-month horizon, ensuring that each step in the process is completed on time by coordinating with operations and quality teams. This role includes projecting lead times, consolidating step deadlines, and ensuring alignment with resource capacity and process compliance. Manage demand prioritization in weekly review with Global Supply Chain, and coordinate actions with local functions.

Main Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Autonomous Production Units (APUs) in the business to monitor Plant Cycle Time (PCT) and Release Cycle Time (RCT) execution on a daily/weekly basis.

Report on site performance (PCT, RCT, OTIF), both actual and forecasted performance, and look for opportunities to improve site performance.

Business system owner for the FACT reporting tool and part of the implementation of tools/new ways of working that will enhance site performance and ultimately improve service levels for our patients.

Work closely with all functions, in particular Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance teams as well as Heads of APU/Heads of functions.

Interact with above site teams, through various forums with Global Supply and Operational Excellence teams.

Support continuous improvement initiatives as required

Drive improvement in performance KPIs: PCT, WIP, and schedule adherence

Comply with the execution of the weekly planning for production and quality activities at the APU/site level.

Anticipate issues and react quickly react with all stakeholders.

Coordinate stakeholders to ensure actions are taken to maintain and reduce cycle time targets.

Support IBP process for the MBC.
-
Perform long and short-term capacity analysis and planning of available operations time for each value stream.

Support scenario analysis and business strategy related to multiple product planning and product lifecycle management.

Responsible for the facilitation of control tower meetings to ensure optimal batch release performance, highlighting and escalating risks, etc.

Represent site at various weekly end-to-end product control tower meetings and other global forums.

Ensure compliance with requirements of cGMP and the site quality program.

Fully completes departmental objectives and complies with budget targets.

Meets safety and environmental performance.

Ensure compliance to cGMP at all times.
About You
Work Experience:
-
5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain in an operational setting required.
Minimum required skills:
-
5+ years in operational roles.
-
High level of autonomy, ability to managing complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities.

Strong problem Solving-solving skills
-
Strong presentation, communications, influencing skills.
Preferred skills:
-
5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
-
Industry experience in multiple aspects of Supply Chain planning and operations both inside and outside of Sanofi, exposure to Class A capabilities is a plus.

Experience in Team Leadership.
-
Experience in Project management.
-
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and experience in partaking in transformation programs.

Good understanding of PCU operational/functional processes.

Experience in leading and implementing changes.
Technical skills:
-
Extensive user experience in SAP and Kinaxis required.
-
Ability to analyze and diagnose data and make data driven proposals.
-
Ability to coordinate multiple continuous improvement programs.
-
Good understanding of process linkages across the supply chain.
-
APICS certification preferred.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or related discipline required.

The salary range for this position is:
$101,250.00 - $146,250.00
