Job Description
Are you interested in being part of the team that makes direct impact to the firm's business? You'll play an integral role as a part of the Japan Operations organization, supporting to ensure the Japan businesses run effectively and efficiently. You will have holistic view of the end-to-end process management of all core production and client-servicing activities across each business. As a Fixed Income Operations Associate within the Japan Fixed Income Sales & Trading franchise, you will be responsible for providing post-trade operations support across a broad spectrum of asset classes in the Securities business. Your role will involve coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate business, efficiency, controls, and regulatory initiatives. This will require active engagement and partnership at local, regional, and global levels to promote our firm's strategic deliveries.
Job responsibilities
- Have full accountability of End-to-End query resolution for Fixed Income trades Pre & post-settlement relates to Fixed Income trades and its associated controls and reporting.
- Close communication with Trading/Sales to facilitate a strong client service covering settlement resolution, documentation/statement management and operational solution in Japan Fixed Income Sales & Trading franchise partner with offshore partners and technology
- Manage new business initiatives from Front Office/Clients to support the business expansion opportunities.
- Lead/innovative IA agenda building a controlled operational platform/process as well as efficiencies
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Be able to do multi-task and work in a pressurized, fast paced and dynamic environment with tight deadlines on a regular basis
- Display strong drive and enthusiasm, be highly numerate, analytical, promptness and accuracy, control focused, client focused
- Have strong knowledge of Fixed Income products
- Speak fluent English and Japanese
- Have strong digitalized skill (Alteryx, Tableau, Uipath) and computer skills - or at least highly motivated to learn
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Have strong communication skills and flexible mindset to changes and work in a team
- Settlement experiences and knowledge are preferred to have
