Your day as an Imaging Engineer R&D…
Within the R&D department a small team is responsible for developing and applying new CMOS image sensors for the Grass Valley broadcast cameras. New image sensors are defined, specified and developed by the R&D team. For proper evaluation and to prepare new product introductions, the new silicon is evaluated and applied by the same team and then handed over to the camera development. The team also maintains technical contacts with the foundry, the assembly house and the test house.
As an imaging engineer you contribute to the evaluation and characterization of existing and new image sensors. This varies from developing new readout schemes for the image sensor, to enable new functionality, to developing video processing algorithms, to enhance the image sensor data. You have access to state of the art development tools and hardware.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or applied physics with 5 to 10 years of experience
- Knowledge of Matlab, C, VHDL
- Understanding of device physics, preferably on CMOS image sensor process is a plus
- Experience with Cadence IC tooling is a plus too
- Highly motivated team player with good social- and communication skills
- Eager to dive deep into technological challenges
- Strong at complex problem solving
