Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-installation receipt, storage, management, engineering support, fleet integration and engagement and hardware/software configuration for CANES racks and peripherals for Network Integration and Engineer Facility Atlantic.
  • Support pre-delivery to Alteration Installation Team (AIT) for shipboard installation and ISEA Shipboard Configuration and SOVT.
  • Provide shipboard support for hardware and software issues through SOVT and has many
  • Support ongoing CANES ship set activities across multiple baselines with varying schedules for execution
  • Familiarity with various Naval Tactical Network Systems.
  • Integrates 3rd party applications to enable rapid delivery of mission objectives.
  • Deploys on computers, servers, networks, directories, and backups for CANES and other network enterprise services to the Fleet
  • Able to support various baseline configurations of ISNS and CANES for all Naval ship platforms.
  • Develops and tests integrated test plans for various network enterprise configurations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science. Individual shall have relevant certifications: Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or (post award) with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification such as: Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Cloud certifications, etc. 
  • Specific Education: Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 9 months. 
  • Ten (10) years with Master's or 14 years with Bachelor’s degree of experience in computer design, software development or computer networks. 
  • Specific Experience: Five (5) years of technical experience in support of TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
