SAP BPC Systems Admin

As an SAP BPC Systems Admin supporting the Global BPA organization, you will be trusted to work on managing and maintaining both the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) system and the Adaptive Planning system, ensuring robust performance and issue resolution. This role requires a deep understanding of both systems' functionalities, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills in Mexico City.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Administer BPC Application (IP, BPC CONSOL, and SAP BPC Planning) and other BI systems.
- Work closely with IT teams (ERP, Security, Portal) on data design, interfaces, extracts, and reporting.
- Provide best-fit SAP BPC planning and consolidation advice.
- Deliver SAP BPC and Adaptive Planning applications that meet functional and technical designs.
- Manage SAP planning and consolidation projects.
- Build and maintain financial reports using SAP BPC and Adaptive Planning.
- Troubleshoot issues relating to both BPC and Adaptive Planning in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain the Adaptive Planning systems.
- Write detailed specifications for the development of custom programs.
- Opening System(s) for Planning: Extensive user support (involving additional trainings, specific guidance on the process, and system support) from the day the system is open until the submission is finalized.
- User Support: Provide ongoing support to users with their ad-hoc questions and requests.
- Data Validation and Reconciliation: Ensure data validation and reconciliation, and provide final copies.
- User Access Management: Deliver UAM trainings to super users and collaborate with the security team related to improvements or in case issues occur.
- Projects/Enhancements/Process Improvements: Design, test, and implement new planning solutions and enhancements of functionalities in existing planning tools.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in SAP BPC and or Adaptive.
- Experience with Adaptive Planning systems.
- SAP BPC certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SAP BW, HANA, and reporting tools.
- Experience with SAP Netweaver 10.0 and OutlookSoft solutions.
- In-depth working experience with financial systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work closely with end users, business process owners, and SAP BPC and Adaptive Planning functional consultants.
Skills:
- Project management experience in SAP’s new S/4HANA Finance and future solutions.
- Coordination of transports to production and post-go-live support.
- Hands-on experience in business process reengineering, systems design, configuration, and implementation of SAP BPC and Adaptive Planning solutions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Expertise in Adaptive Planning system administration, including user management, security roles, and system configurations.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining Adaptive Planning models, dashboards, and reports.
- Ability to optimize and streamline Adaptive Planning processes for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
