Our Greenville, SC team has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Planner. This role will provide support to the Financial Advisors and their clients with the development of comprehensive financial plans and analyses. In addition, the Financial Planner may serve as a resource to their colleagues and Advisors to help support technical planning questions. (This is a hybrid work opportunity.)
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. This role is also eligible for a bonus. Primary Job Functions
Organize the client’s financial documentation

Organize clients financial documentation into planning folder
-
Maintain the integrity of the clients’ original documents
Create and deliver customized financial plans
-
Develop Profile and Strategy plans
-
Provide summary of client’s personal info, financial position, asset allocation and analyze investments
-
Coordinate requests to Investment and/or Insurance Department
-
Gather additional documents from clients as needed
-
Discuss findings and coordinate recommendations with Financial Advisor
-
Review clients’ employer benefit plans, income tax returns, SS benefits, pension benefits, insurances, beneficiary information & estate plan
-
Review and summarize wills, power of attorney and other legal documents
-
Create reports/analyses from Morningstar, BRT (Kettley), etc.

Incorporate analyses and recommendations into plan
-
Gather final illustration for insurance products
-
Verify suitability and quality of plans before client meeting
-
Submit Roundtable cases
-
Finalize plan for delivery
-
Records notes in CRM and planning file regarding client communication, and planning actions
Create Client reviews
-
Schedule reviews
-
Prepare reviews and maintain accurate account, beneficiary information & RMD tracking
-
Provide recommendations on investment objective
-
Submit reviews to FA or AFA for a final review
-
Post review-tasks; update account information, follow-up on paperwork, and record notes in CRM
Provide Financial Advisor with technical planning and client support

Provides the Financial Advisor with technical planning and research support

Participate in client meetings as requested

Education/Skill Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance, financial planning, accounting preferred.

3+ years’ experience in all areas of comprehensive financial planning
-
CFP or CPA desirable or interest in obtaining in near future.

Securities licenses for series 7 & 66 (or 7, 63 & 65)
-
Insurance license in Life, Health & Variable
-
Understanding of the investment platform
-
Proficiency using financial planning software
-
Solid communication skills (verbal & written)

Proofreading
-
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects

Analytical skills
-
Able to work well with all levels of employees

High ethical standards

Proficiency with MS Office
WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. Thus, the entire salary range for those who are classified as the Sr Specialist level is $81,000 to $125,300.
