Maxar Space is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to work within our Accounting and FP&A Departments, in our Palo Alto CA offices. This position, which can also be performed remotely within the U.S., will support cash reporting and analysis for the Maxar Space segment. The Cash team works closely with various finance functions and senior executives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support preparation of cash annual budget, monthly forecasts, and reporting, including variance analysis and identification of risks and opportunities
- Support day-to-day cash planning processes and monitoring of collections and disbursements
- Partner with operations, contracts, supply chain, and operational finance to understand trends, patterns, variance drivers and levers to enhance performance
- Utilize data to tell a story and drive insights while tailoring messaging based on the audience
- Partner with Data Analytics and Automation team to support upkeep of Alteryx workflows and Tableau reports for cash function
- Actively seek opportunities to make improvements that drive efficiency and performance; propose and champion actionable solutions.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree may be counted toward two additional years of experience
- 5 years of experience in data analysis, including experience in a Financial Analyst role with emphasis on FP&A experience or Data Analytics
- Exposure to Alteryx, Tableau or Access
- Advanced Excel skills

The salary range listed is based on Palo Alto, CA location. This range will vary based on the number of years of experience and work location.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $74,000.00 - $122,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $81,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $85,000.00 - $141,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
