Overview:
SRMH Hahn Cancer Center is hiring a Financial Coordinator III
The Financial Coordinator III partners with ancillary departments to provide patient-specific education on their insurance benefits for imaging and other related outpatient services. Track all TPA funding received and report to manager. Serve as the assigned clinical department’s point of contact for patient billing questions. Work directly with revenue cycle team members to resolve patient billing matters. Submit patient claims and applications for financial assistance in a timely and HIPAA compliant manner. Ensure that all funds received are timely and accurately posted to the patient’s account. Provide updates to patients as funding is received on their behalf. Liaise with pharmaceutical company representatives for both IV and oral therapies to learn about their products, co-pay programs, and potential foundation assistance. Serve as an expert in the attainment of drug and co-pay assistance programs.
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- A healthcare certification from an accredited program or a Bachelor's degree can be substituted for two years of experience
Certification/Licensure
- No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience
- Healthcare Experience - 5 years (Required)
- Prior experience in social services, financial counseling or processing charity applications (Required)
- Working knowledge of uncompensated care and Medicaid guidelines and regulations
