Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst (Program Finance Analyst Specialist III) to become a member of the Civil Systems Group (CSG) Financial Management Team. Responsibilities include management of budgets, financial forecasts and planning scenarios, funding, financial analyses, data analytics, strategic partnership with leadership to achieve organizational goals, and coordination with various corporate organizations to ensure successful business and financial operations. The selected candidate will also support employees in the multiple divisions across CSG. This position will be a valued financial partner to senior leadership, providing financial planning, data analysis, reporting, and project management support. This role works closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis organization to ensure a consistent vision and implementation of financial policies, practices, and processes throughout the corporation.
Work Model
This position is a hybrid work model offering 3+ days onsite per week, with remote the balance of the week, or as business conditions allow.
This position can be located at either our Chantilly VA campus, or our Crystal City DC location.
What You'll Be Doing
- Works with principal investigators and contracts directorate to maintain cost and schedule baselines and forecasts that meet program and company requirements and are integrated with the contractual Statement of Work (SOW) as included in the Aerospace Requirements Tool (ART) or other program planning documents to include direct contracts
- Tracks indirect budget allocations and direct budget allocations for both expenditures and STE labor charges
- Generates various reports including weekly/monthly financial analysis, year-end financial reporting, and ad-hoc reports; initiates progress reports, task estimating, and budget reviews
- Informs Group CFO, Program Finance Manager, and Technical Project Managers on financial trends, reporting unit performance and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial plans
- Compares and analyzes STE and financial results with plans and forecasts; identifies trends, assesses, and communicates reliable metrics that management can use to make informed business decisions. Uses data-driven insights to recommend corrective actions to achieve STE and financial plans
What You Need to be Successful - Program Finance Analyst Specialist III
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
- Six or more years of relevant experience in finance or a related analytical field
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must work well in a team environment and be detail oriented
- Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners and influence decisions
- Possess strong written/oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff and all levels of management
- Ability to work independently; possess strong interpersonal, problem-resolution skills, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize/manage multiple assignments and remain responsive in a dynamic environment
