Job Description
Job Summary:
This position reports directly to the General Manager and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience and apply skills within the SAP enterprise system at a growing global private company. You'll benefit from job diversity and potential for career advancement.
Principle Responsibilities
- Prepare / Review weekly /monthly entries and analyses related to purchase price variance, labor, overhead, productivity, and inventory
- Complete month-end journal entries to support the financial close process
- Lead the annual operating budget preparation process for the businesses
- Prepare the monthly financial forecasts
- Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on cost
- Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing actual expenses to budget
- Input and maintain cost in SAP
- Review business unit and interdepartmental cross charges and make adjustments/reclassifications as needed.
- Prepare weekly / monthly operational performance metrics for the Jackson manufacturing facility and Direct Import team.
- Where not explicitly mentioned above, support the Direct Import team in the above functions as required.

- Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hour week. Sometimes, it may be necessary to work additional hours to accomplish the required tasks and meet deadlines.

Education/Experience:
- Candidates will have a minimum of an associate’s degree in finance or accounting
- 2 to 5 years of overall accounting experience
- SAP experience is also a plus.
- Must know Windows and Microsoft Office software products with an emphasis on Excel
