Position Summary:                 

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, cost analysis, and operational support for the manufacturing function. You will also serve as a key driver of plant performance by providing actionable financial data and insights to support decision-making, while helping to optimize operations within a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Timely completion of month-end closing tasks and accurate financial reporting that comply with reporting requirements of U.S. GAAP, IFRS and Illumina policies
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly manufacturing cost review reports for Management
  • Support in the review, analyze and provide insights into manufacturing variances including material usage, scrap and overhead variances.
  • Deep dive into production orders with significant variances from standard BOM, investigate anomalies and drive discussion with Operations to develop action items that enhance productivity and reduce wastages
  • Support in the annual Global Cost Change exercise
  • Support costing lot size discussions with Supply Chain to optimize production planning and inventory management.
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager reviewing the PIR Price for Annual Cost roll up
  • Reconcile and analyze monthly inventory balances, inventory reserves and scrap
  • Support cost modeling and simulation efforts for new product lines or revisions, ensuring accurate cost to product lines
  • Data steward in maintain/update standards for material, labor and overhead costs and perform cost roll up as required. Identify and resolve anomalies.
  • Co-ordinate and conduct cycle counts, investigate variances and resolve issues
  • Drive and champion process improvements and standardization in the organization
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience with an MNC in a manufacturing environment using Standard Cost Accounting

A self-starter with excellent inter-personal skills who can communicate and interface across all levels in the organization.

  • Highly adaptive with ability to work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record in driving process improvements
  • Excellent data analysis and trend identifications skills with a focus on problem solving skills
  • High level of integrity and attentive to details
  • Hands on experience in using SAP is required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, TM1 and Cognos

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related professional qualification
