We are Wolverine Worldwide’s Work Group, which is comprised of several brands operating within the Work & Occupational Safety industry. We are proud to own brands holding the #1 and #3 rank in market share of work boots. With annual revenues of approximately $500M and distribution to over 70 different countries across the globe, we're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join and support the Wolverine, Bates & Hy-Test brands.
As a Financial Analyst II, you'll play a key role in our team by coordinating planning and forecasting, managing period-end activities, and supporting the daily operations of our brands. Your efforts will help ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Works in conjunction with corporate finance to prepare period-end closing activities including accruals, expense estimates, allocations and journal entries.
- Coordinates, prepares and inputs plan/forecast into SAP/BCS.
- Prepares overhead and variance schedules to support forecasts, including FP&A support – margin analysis, SG&A rolls, etc.
- Prepares periodic sales and gross margin planning/forecasting information.
- Review costing changes and pricing requests to monitor margin quality.
- Supports inventory management and open-to-buy process.
- Coordinates, reviews, and approves standard cost buildup (ELC’s) for each season and throughout the year.
- Assists independent auditors with requests on a periodic basis.
- Maintains accounting controls to ensure the accuracy, reliability, completeness and proper recording of financial data in accordance with GAAP and other corporate policies.
- Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
- Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. CPA or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 3+ years accounting or finance experience.
- Finance business partnership – good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
- Adept computer skills with proficiency in Excel & SAP.
Working Conditions
Normal Office environment.
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
