Job Description

THE ROLE: Financial Analyst, Global Content Sales (Temporary)
The Financial Analyst, Global Content Sales will support both the A+E Networks domestic digital business, as well as the International digital and linear businesses. This role will primarily be responsible for ensuring that all digital revenues are properly reported for royalties purposes, while also supporting the processing of International contracts. This role will report into the Director, Global Content Sales Finance.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Partner closely with rest of the team to identify SKU research efforts. This requires a significant amount of data analysis in Excel. Experience with macros, pivot tables, and/or AI will optimize the process.
  • Obtain from our customer portals the monthly revenue reports and match titles to our internal program ID. Work closely with our technology partners to assist in the automation / increased efficiency of these efforts.
  • Prepare feed files at the SKU level for submission to the participations department.
  • Update cash reconciliation reports as payments are received.
  • Enter & maintain program sales deals into the Jaguar and FilmTrack systems.
  • Interface with sales, fulfillment, and legal, to ensure proper contract maintenance.
  • Review billing schedules and determine accuracy of revenue recognition of sales contracts.
  • Provide support as needed to the collections department and sales team. This would include resolving billing discrepancies, reviewing contracts, and working with sales coordinators.

YOUR STORY:

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance, or comparable accounting experience is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in an accounts receivable role with knowledge of revenue accounting, cash application and contract interpretation.
  • Experience within the media industry is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office programs such as Excel (macros, and pivot tables) and comfort with large data volume.
  • Great organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate across other functional areas.
  • Ability to read and interpret the financial aspects of contracts. Ask appropriate questions to understand full financial picture of the contract.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, effectively.
  • Experience with AI or ChatGPT is a plus.

Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third-party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.

CompensationContract Hourly Pay Rate: $42.00
