The Role: The Global Finance Team is responsible for the management and control of WorldQuant’s financial reporting systems. Part of the Global Finance Team, the Financial Planning and Analysis Team is responsible for cost allocation to WorldQuant Millennium Advisors (WMA), a joint venture between WorldQuant and Millennium.
Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the cost allocation model, guideline monitoring, and reporting for WMA. More detailed role responsibilities include:
- Own the monthly cost allocation model, including ensuring completeness and compliance with allocation policies
- Analyze all volume drivers for accuracy through comparative testing as well as various statistics
- Prepare regular, transparent reporting related to the cost allocation model to business partners as well as ad hoc reporting upon request
- Guideline monitoring for investment funds which includes guideline codification, documentation, distribution, and monitoring
- Provide additional reporting for compliance, performance and attribution, turnover, strategy, etc. as needed
- Provide project management support including organizing meeting notes and tracking key objectives
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar analytical discipline
- Advanced Excel and data management skills (will be evaluated as part of the interview process)
- 4+ years of relevant experience in a financial services industry role
- Ability to work well under short deadlines with enhanced attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to create auditable Financial Models
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Database and data visualization experience strongly preferred
- Expense management software and/or fund operations experience a plus
