The Opportunity
The Financial Aid Quality Assurance Manager manages all quality assurance reports and processes for federal, state, institutional, and external aid. This position is responsible for processing, identifying and analyzing financial aid reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis for potential risks and any errors that might adversely affect the distribution of student aid. This person will assist the Director with Audits pertaining to Title IV aid. They will also manage, train, perform and track all Return of Title IV repayment calculations for the Worldwide Campus, as well as communicate, train, and support Financial Aid staff on student's eligibility for financial assistance in compliance with federal, state and institutional guidelines and assign awards accordingly. This position maintains policies and procedures that supports quality assurance. In addition, acquires and maintains knowledge of federal, state, and university financial need analysis methodologies and regulations.
This is a United Stated-based remote position and minimal travel is required.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors Degree
Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
- Prior financial aid work experience required.
- Knowledge of federal Title IV, state, and institutional financial aid regulations, policies and procedures;
- Detailed Knowledge of Title IV Packaging
- Detailed Knowledge of the Return of Title IV Regulations and how to Perform
- Perform Financial Aid Verification
- Detailed knowledge of federal, state and university regulations and policies.
- Experience with automated financial aid systems.
- Conduct Audits and translate to Auditors
- Interpersonal skills necessary to counsel effectively with students, parents, staff, the public, and the university community;
- Ability to work with people in a professional and concerned manner; Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical abilities to handle complex administrative details with experience working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and perform detailed tasks
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to and promote a team environment.
- May be required to work weekend/evening hours during peak periods.
- Demonstrate ability to work with minimum supervision and generate accurate and detailed reports
Preferred Qualifications:
- NASFAA (National Association of Student FA Admin) Credentials preferred but not required.
