- Responsible for the maintenance of the accounting books and records of SLIMTC’s clients; And ensures accurate valuation and timely generation and submission of financial reports to clients and regulatory agencies in accordance with the agreement with the client and in compliance with the BSP rules and regulations and the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards.

- Experience in audit firm and/or financial statements preparation of a financial institution
- Subject Matter Expert in various accounting standards such as PFRS and Local Statutory Requirements.
- Knowledgeable regarding laws and regulations governing trust and asset management companies.
- Knowledge and expertise in handling financial derivatives, derivatives valuation, derivatives accounting and hedge accounting.
- Accuracy and attention to detail. Able to timely meet internal and/or external deadlines
- Basic organizational skills (planning, time management and priority management)
- Basic verbal and written communications skills plus good listening skills
- Advanced analytical, comprehension and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint..
Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Designation, an advantage.
- At least 10-year experience in an asset management and/or trust
- At least 2-year experience in preparing regulatory reports of a BSP regulated entity.
- At least 5-year experience in valuation and fund accounting.
Responsibilities (heading) / Responsabilités (titre)
Accounting and Reporting
- Reviews the following financial reports (1) Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) - Fiduciary related reports as required in the provisions of MORNBFI. (2) Insurance Commission (IC) – reports required from a Trustee of a Pre-Need Company
- Reviews the following financial reports: (1) Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Fiduciary) (2) Client reports - Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Investment Activity Report, Return of Investment Report, and Schedule of Earning Assets/Investments (ensures accuracy of all the account balances, asset valuation and all reports issued to the clients)
- Reviews Fund Accounting set-up questionnaire for new clients.
- Reviews tax schedules, certificates and billing invoices issued to the clients.
- Reviews journal entries or any adjustments posted in client accounts.
- Ensures accuracy of valuation of all managed accounts.
- Verifies bank instructions relating to client accounts’ transactions.
- Reviews and ensures completeness of process manuals; regularly reviews and updates existing operating procedures and manuals to effect necessary changes/improvements.
- Prepares audited financial statements of manage fund accounts as required by the BSP.
Internal Controls and Internal Audit
- Ensures appropriate controls are performed in the preparation of financial reports before submission to internal and external stakeholders.
- Reviews/updates existing guidelines, processes and procedures to effect necessary changes/improvements.
- Reviews audit related requirements
Support to Company Initiatives
- Assists in the application of tax-exempt status for clients’ retirement fund portfolios, as required
- Serves as Finance resource for fund valuation and accounting projects or any fund accounting related system projects or enhancements.
