Automotive Steering Column Ltd. operates as an independent division of the Bosch Group. Our company develops, manufactures and markets steering columns for passenger cars and commercial vehicles worldwide and is a supplier to 109 automotive manufacturers. Job Description
Goal
- Supervise and coordinate of the financial shared service activity from professional point of view. Ensure that the managed team has the awareness about accounting, taxation, and finance topics.
Tasks
- Lead people management activities including goal setting, recruitment, and performance evaluation.
- Understand and implement processes, ensuring the service quality in the responsible area. Establish and ensure the optimal processes for the SSC activity.
- Proactively and constructively managing change initiatives, including the increase of effectiveness inside the SSC Team.
- Fostering relationships with inside and outside stakeholders in the respective business area.
- Fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Manage the accounting activities of monthly closing processes for various legal entities under IFRS regulations and BOSCH Corporate Directives
- Keep the IFRS Chart of Account up to date, according to the anytime valid BOSCH financial principles and regulations.
- Resolve any issues which arise during the closing period, review the accounts in their entirety for accuracy prior to Group Reporting.
- Provide support to the transaction GL team as required during the closing period on accounting technical areas (royalties, TPAs, intangibles etc.)
- Ensure the entire closing period (AR, AP etc.) are completed in line with the reporting timetable.
- Prepare and approve any balance sheet reconciliations under scope for the IFFRS and statutory regulations, in collaboration with the Controlling team.
- Ensure all reconciliations and tasks are prepared and reviewed by the defined due date.
- Ensure the management of IFRS accounts and support the Local-GAAP accounts, along with all workings and notes to the accounts.
- Manage interim and year-end IFRS audits and support Statutory audits from planning to completion.
- Be the primary point of contact for external auditors (in regard of IAS/IFRS accounting activities) and to ensure the audit for the entities is progressing.
- Work with internal auditors to ensure the entities are always in compliance with IFRS and Statutory regulations and the relevant internal policies. Key point of contact for internal audits.
- Ensure preparing all relevant tasks required for the Tax filings, when they are relating to IAS/AFRS accounting activities.
- Manage, supervise, follow up and motivate the financial SSC team. Coordinate the tasks and responsibilities, delegate the tasks, support and develop the team members, and ensure the effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Establish and maintain close cooperation with other departments (mainly: engineering, production, HR, logistics, purchasing, sales, quality management). Ensure the efficient flow of information to achieve common goals, participate in management meetings if needed.
Qualifications
- Business (economist, accounting) degree
- Experience: 5+ years accounting experience (automotive industry is advantage)
- Experience of international reporting rules (IAS/IFRS framework).
- IT qualifications: excellent skills in using SAP as well as MS office.
- Language: English - proficiency
- Comprehensive accounting, taxation and audit professional experience and competence.
