The finance manager-financial planning & analysis is responsible for leading the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. You will provide key insights into organizational performance, support informed decision-making, and help achieve company goals. With expertise in finance methodology and BI tools, you will deliver accurate reports, forecasts, and analyses, while driving process efficiencies and coaching your team.
In this role, the successful candidate needs to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote first working model, leveraging in-person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you will do:
- Lead the team in preparing monthly internal financial reports, comparing actuals to budget, forecast and prior year, and investigating drivers of significant variances
- Develop KPI reports to track and monitor business results at consolidated, business unit, channel, and location levels. Prepare monthly and quarterly presentations for senior Canadian and Enterprise Leadership
- Coordinate the financial planning process, including the annual long-range plan (5 Years) with quarterly updates, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts, ensuring compliance with capital policy
- Bring business meaning to financials by synthesizing financial data, identifying variances and trends, and providing insights through monthly and quarterly business reviews, weekly scorecards, and more
- Ensure alignment of all internal reporting, application upgrades, system changes, and business initiatives from a reporting perspective by playing a key role in data governance of performance metrics
- Provide coaching, development, and support through regular one-on-one meetings with a team of financial analysts. Foster an effective, fun, and cohesive team environment to promote employee engagement and maximize employee performance
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of progressive experience with strong expertise in financial analysis, financial planning, and management reporting
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing a team in a mid to large organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to drive results
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field

Annualized base pay range
$115,000.00 - $130,000.00This role has bonus components in addition to annualized base pay.
