POSITION OVERVIEW:  

 The FP&A Manager, International Business Segment and Corporate Overhead combines strategic leadership in business analysis with the operational focus of finance transformation. This person drives insights and innovations that enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and align financial operations with organizational goals. This person will be critical in managing expense performance, providing decision support, delivering strategic financial insights, and supporting the International Business Segment.  

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:   

 

Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis: 

  • Develop and lead advanced analytics initiatives to support strategic decision-making and business growth. 
  • Create and maintain financial models, dashboards, and KPIs to deliver actionable insights for leadership. 
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing recommendations for improvement. 
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans for the Company-wide expense base and the International Business Segment. 

Expense Management: 

  • Monitor and analyze operating expenses to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with department leaders to optimize spending without compromising strategic goals. 
  • Design and implement tools and processes for improved expense tracking and accountability. 

FP&A Support for International Business Segment: 

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for international operations, including online virtual and brick-and-mortar private schools. 
  • Analyze financial performance, identify key drivers, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability. 
  • Support international business development through financial modeling, market feasibility studies, and ROI analyses. 

Performance Management: 

  • Align analytics and transformation initiatives with performance management objectives. 
  • Monitor financial and operational performance, identifying areas for improvement. 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic and operational goals. 

Leadership and Collaboration: 

  • Mentor junior team members, fostering professional development and growth 
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and department leaders to ensure alignment and execution of initiatives. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and guidance on financial strategy. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Proven track record of converting complex and fragmented data sets to meaningful information. 
  • Independent and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Track record of building strong relationships with business leaders and navigating the organization for support. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred. 
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience, including expense management and business unit support. Experience providing FP&A support for international operations, including business development, is a strong plus. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; highly proficient in other Microsoft applications.  
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Insight, Great Plains, NetSuite, BI360) and familiarity with BI tools are pluses. 
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Proven track record of leading successful transformation and analytics initiatives. 
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time, as required by business needs.
