As a key member of the company’s leadership team, this position is accountable for the development, implementation, and analysis of the annual business plan, which sets the objectives and measurement tools required to effectively manage the various operating departments toward profitable business results.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of six years’ experience, eight years preferred, managing accounting and finance functions such as general ledger/chart of accounts, financial reporting and analysis, and budgeting and forecasting.
- A recognized leader and manager of people in a national and/or global, customer service focused work environment
- Experienced partner providing financial support to senior management
- Established, independent financial acumen to navigate complex financials and contracts
- Excellent client service skills with a service-minded approach towards the client. Must be sensitive to client needs, remaining calm and confident, even in stressful situations
- MS office proficient, financials systems software acumen (for example: PeopleSoft)

JOB DUTIES

- *Oversees financial planning, reporting, analysis and accounting functions for assigned business unit(s)
- *Develops annual business plans for requisite business unit(s)
- *Leads team members to consolidate and report accurate financial results monthly and/or in accordance with established timelines or other ad hoc needs
- *Leads team members to conduct accurate financial analysis and accounting-close requirements monthly, quarterly and/or in accordance with established timelines
- *Manages timing and methodology for reporting, forecasting and budget cycles across team members and/or business unit(s)
- *Effectively manages team members toward financial team-goals and in accordance with established management practices
- Contributes to monthly, quarterly, annual earnings reporting and review process – may include working with team members and own manager to develop templates and coordinate review sessions with leadership business partners discussing P&L results and Balance Sheets
- Relies on advanced experience to appropriately review and approve pro forma financial statements and/or proposals with prospective clients; gives close attention to contract language regarding financial administration procedures
- Prepares detailed templates for forecasts and budgets for use by varying business units
- Successfully illustrates financial analysis, meaning, and impacts to audiences of varying financial sophistication; may conduct financial training for business partners
- Guides business partners with strategic decisions to attain and sustain successful financial management of their operation; provides financial assessment tools and metrics
- Understands and provides financial guidance across complex multi-service solutions for business partners
- Works closely with business partners to develop effective relationships, and contribute to innovation in financial administrative procedures that reduce costs, improve efficiencies and/or enhance client relationships
- Contributes to the training, mentoring and/or development of all requisite finance team members
The salary range for this position is $140k minimum - $150k maximum per annum. Compensation varies depending on location, job-related factors such as experience, responsibilities, and business needs.
