JOB TITLE: Finance Change Manager
SALARY: £68,202 - £75,780
HOURS: Full time
LOCATION(S): Leeds
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
We’re recruiting for a Finance Change Manager to join us in Leeds as we transform how we deliver change, both in terms of the scale of ambition and the pace of delivery.
To grow our capabilities, we need a skilled Finance Change Manager who will be responsible for leading and managing both large and small change initiatives within Treasury and Commercial Banking Finance. The chosen candidate will represent Finance, addressing their needs in various change initiatives, analysing to speed up change and ensuring valuable solutions.
Key responsibilities:

Develop into a trusted advisor and advocate for Treasury and Commercial Banking Finance in relation to change impacting the Markets, Finance and Risk architecture

Representing Treasury and Commercial Banking Finance in a variety of forums and product backlog discussions, simplifying complexity and ambiguity into tangible actions

Role model Agile behaviours within the team and Treasury and Commercial Banking Finance more widely

Collaborate to deliver optimum outcomes for Treasury and Commercial Banking Finance with a wide range of partners across the bank, including multiple functions and levels of seniority, while appreciating the wider strategic priorities of the bank

Maintain and enhance Treasury, Finance, Change, Systems and Industry knowledge through constant in role learning

Independently run ad-hoc analysis to support change initiatives for Treasury and Commercial Banking Finance, with support and guidance provided where required

Testing of prototyped solutions to ensure they meet the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on generating value for the business early.

What you’ll need

Strong understanding of IFRS accounting treatment of financial instruments under Amortised Cost, Fair Value Through Other Comprehensive Income & Fair Value Through Profit or Loss classifications

Understanding of the purpose and roles of different finance teams including Product Control, Financial Control, Ledger Control, Hedge Accounting and Independent Price Verification

Knowledge of front to back Treasury execution, the interactions between different areas of Treasury and their support functions

Good understanding of business drivers for Treasury from a Capital, Funding and Risk Management perspective

Awareness of the regulatory regimes by which banks are governed and appropriate risk tolerances of regulated entities

The ability to collaborate with a wide range of partners, often with competing priorities, influencing and advocating to acquire the right outcome for the bank as a whole

A determined individual who is committed to driving through positive change as an individual and team
