Job Summary
FreeWheel Finance needs a mission-driven, self-starting, quantitative thinker to own the initial calculation of several key monthly and quarterly revenue deliverables. This person must see challenges as opportunities and take initiative to explore issues to find innovative scalable solutions. As a member of the FreeWheel Finance team, you will serve as a subject matter expert on your assigned revenue streams. You'll accomplish this by maintaining your assigned revenue models and ensuring their associated deliverables are performed on time and accurately. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Finance.

The Revenue Financial Planning & Analysis (Revenue FP&A) team has strong business partnerships and influence throughout the company. We drive financially informed decisions in support of leadership's strategic objectives. We have made investment in advanced analytics capabilities to enhance our data driven approach to problem solving. We are also focused on process improvement to create an efficient transactional infrastructure for both our internal and external customers. We require a strong detail-oriented analyst to perform the monthly and quarterly calculations using the current structure, with successful execution allowing you being a major voice in the automation roadmap being led by the Commercial Finance team.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Own the preparation and associated delivery of the monthly billable revenue calculation files for some of FreeWheel's fastest growing products. The analyst will be expected to execute the calculations and their underlying detail to present to the Senior Manager for review
  • Partner with Sales/Ops teams on proper billing mechanics for both new and existing billing relationships, as well as non-standard billing arrangements and adjustments
  • Support monthly forecast and close responsibilities related to final billing's impact on current month performance, ensuring proper revenue recognition in collaboration with FP&A Sr. Analyst
  • Support the quarterly commission process for the sales teams that we support, including attainment calculations and payout calendars, among other things. The analyst will be expected to execute the consolidation of final billable revenue for use in the official calculations, including presenting output to the Senior Manager for review
  • Partner with Commercial Finance to develop automated systems that increase the productivity and efficiency of revenue reporting
  • Partner with the Revenue Consolidations to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of financial KPI's and development of executive facing dashboards to track performance
  • Special projects and ad-hoc data requests / deal analyses as assigned


General Requirements / Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or another analytical discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in revenue operations or similar capacity within a finance function, or as an intern/analyst/associate at a fast paced, high-growth startup, or similar environment
  • Highly skilled in analytics and financial modeling -- Excel formula knowledge is a must (INDEX,MATCH,SUMIF,PivotTable etc); SQL is a plus
  • A self-starter who can work independently, triangulate data points, and identify/propose solutions to potential problems within revenue finance workflows. When all else fails, this person knows when and how to escalate effectively
  • Ability to effectively manage workload, prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and, take "ownership-mentality" in work
  • Being constantly curious, always wanting to understand the "why" and taking it upon yourself to become subject matter expert in order to challenge norms
  • Meticulous attention to detail -- you are able to read through in-depth data reports and extract key insights
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with finance and non-finance people alike
  • Understanding or awareness of revenue recognition and revenue accounting best practices
  • Positive and enthusiastic collaborator within internal teams and cross-functionally
  • Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, Snowflake, PowerBI, a plus
  • General familiarity with marketplace business models, as well as the competitive landscape and operational models of Ad-Serving Companies, Supply Side Platforms (SSPs), Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), Programmatic Advertising, Media Agencies / Trading Desks a plus

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $71,743.68 - $107,615.52
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
