Field Sales Engineer 

 

CelLink is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to drive business growth, cultivate customer relationships, and provide technical expertise on high-speed data and power transmission solutions for data centers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical and sales liaison between CelLink and OEMs, hyperscalers, contract manufacturers, and data center clients.
  • Identify customer needs and develop tailored interconnect solutions that address signal integrity challenges.
  • Engage with CelLink's design and engineering teams to support new product development and qualification.
  • Drive business expansion by developing sales strategies for cable backplane product families and high-speed interconnects.
  • Provide technical guidance on server architecture, data center networking, and transmission solutions.
  • Conduct presentations, demos, and training sessions for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with R&D, applications engineering, and product management teams to align product offerings with market demands.

 

Experience/Education

  • 5-10 years of experience in technical sales, field applications engineering, or business development.
  • B.A. or M.A. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of hyperscaler requirements and data center infrastructure is a must.
  • Experience with scaling copper-based interconnects, including resolving customer quality issues and pain points.
  • Deep understanding of high-speed data transmission, server architecture, and signal integrity (20-240Gbps).
  • Experience with cable backplane products and interconnect solutions is preferred.
  • Strong background in new product development and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical specs into customer solutions.

Physical Demands – Office and Manufacturing Environment  

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 

Work Environment –   

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines 

PPE- 

May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures
