Job Description
The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is a key field-based member of our partner’s Patient Services Team. The FRM will act as a main point of contact at designated accounts providing support to Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and Staff on behalf of Patients prescribed our partner’s product for approved indications. As a part of this strategy, the FRM will provide on-going education to accounts around our partner’s Patient Services programs, payer landscape, and pharmacy channel access. The FRM will help coordinate pull-through efforts for patients who have been prescribed our partner’s product, provided proper HIPAA consent has been secured. The FRM will be the primary face of the Access Services information and platforms for their assigned geographies within designated HCP offices. The FRM is also responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders to optimize access to our partner’s product for patients and healthcare providers (HCP).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:
- Expand partnerships and build advocacy within HCP offices and equip them, through education, to navigate the access and payer approval process
- Identify access barriers that the HCP must act on to overcome and highlight HCP actions that support patient access to therapy.
- Offer educational resources to support the entire patient journey by optimizing processes for prior authorizations/appeals and addressing patient access issues.
- Coordinate annual pharmacy reauthorizations at designated accounts to ensure timely reauthorization and continuation of therapy is maintained.
- Work cross functionally and collaboratively with partners in Sales, Market Access, Patient Services, Strategic Accounts, HUB and Pharmacy partners and more, to act as the payer process expert.
- The FRM will help identify and address time sensitive market development and implementation efforts to remove access barriers to our partner’s product(s) for appropriate patients, while optimizing adherence.
- Build and execute a strategic business plan to meet the needs of top accounts and ensure successful implementation of market access initiatives.
- Obtain and maintain knowledge and understanding of payer landscape, including Specialty Pharmacy and utilization management criteria, on a national, regional and local level.
- Continuously strive to understand the alignment of the Payer/PBM/SP relationship and how national/regional drug formularies impact market access in their designated geography.
- Anticipate and address individual account and patient access issues that arise by partnering with all appropriate stakeholders.
- The successful FRM must be capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and should be energetic, positive and forward-thinking.
Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree preferred.
- 5 plus years proven commercial experience within the Biopharmaceutical industry, preferably within specialty pharmaceuticals.
- 2 or more years Market Access, Specialty Pharmacy, or Reimbursement experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Previous experience in other functions within the Biopharmaceutical industry a plus (e.g. product marketing, managed care, field sales, case management or large Healthcare Practice experience)
- Knowledge and understanding of specialty markets, HUB/Reimbursement services and patient access programs.
- Knowledge of commercial insurers, managed care, government (Part D) and federal payer sectors.
- Knowledge of Integrated Delivery Network/Integrated Health Systems.
- Strong understanding of MS Suite and the ability to conduct virtual engagements via MS Teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of initiative and independence.
- Proven success in working in a cross functional environment.
- Ability to conduct educational presentations.
- Ability to travel up to 40%
