Field Marketing & Community Manager - West

What you’ll do at Productboard:
- Own community events out of the Bay Area, hosting meetups regularly in our office or offices of our partners or customers
- Manage community engagement, sparking interesting discussions and momentum with creative and innovative programming
- Energize product managers and Productboarders with compelling events and content whether it’s an interesting activity, topic, or speaker that gets people hooked
- Execute against third-party sponsorships, co-branded partner events, and Productboard-hosted events, negotiating key partnerships and driving strategic value for Productboard.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Revenue Marketing, Product to ensure alignment and drive impact through every event.
- Lead event logistics end-to-end, including budgeting, vendor management, speaker programming, invitations, swag, and post-event outreach post-event reporting, and detailed execution.
- Report against event metrics and analyze performance, supervising return on investment, pipeline contribution against forecasted, and attendee engagement to continually optimize event strategies.
- Innovate on event formats and experiences that show Productboard’s brand, providing creative and engaging touchpoints for our audiences.
- Support and own select categories under Productboard’s hosted events which may include Customer Advisory Board, Annual User Conference, Regional Product Days.
- Cultivate relationships with internal and external team members, including customers, partners, and thought leaders, to elevate Productboard’s presence at key events.
- Maintain a data-driven approach to events, ensuring every experience is optimized for measurable business outcomes.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or community, with a track record of leading small and large-scale events.
- Managed regional summits and in-person or virtual events from conception to execution, including budgeting, logistics, and vendor relationships.
- Owned community engagement from speaker recruitment to in person or virtual meetup execution.
- Strong experience with cross-functional teamwork, especially with Sales, Product, Office Ops, and Executive teams, to align events with business priorities.
- Proficiency in applying data analysis to inform decision-making, monitoring event success, and optimizing strategies based on important measurements like return on investment and lead generation.
- Proven communication and relationship-building skills, with ability to collaborate with stakeholders, and negotiate with vendors and partners.
- Creative event design skills that translate brand and vision into engaging event experiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to evolving business needs.
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Familiarity with event management tools, registration platforms, CRM systems, and other event technology to streamline processes and improve attendee experiences e.g. Goldcast, CVENT, Salesforce.
- Experience in hybrid event formats, blending virtual and in-person experiences for a range of audiences.
- Experience managing a range of communities from users to decision makers (Directors, VPs and upwards)
- Experience crafting events that reflect Productboard’s dedication to inclusivity and diversity, ensuring a welcoming environment for all attendees.
