Responsibilities:
- System configuration and testing of automated equipment
- Vision setup and testing on equipment/products
- Installation of equipment at end-user/customer facility
- Electrical and mechanical component assembly, including cable routing and terminating wires
- Provide remote and onsite support/service for vision and automated systems
- Troubleshoot programming, sequencing and electrical signaling issues to resolve automation challenges
- Vision system and recipe troubleshooting
- Verifying and modifying system drawings with support of an Automation engineer
- Reviewing and modifying existing PLC programs with support of an Automation engineer
- Managing the responsibilities on multiple simultaneous projects and/or clients
- Technical understanding and experience with automated equipment for manufacturing, device assembly, and/or packaging (PLCs, HMIs, PC-based controls)
- Experience and ability to read, trace, and troubleshoot equipment design using electrical, mechanical and facility drawings
- Demonstrated understanding and use of PLC programming and logic
- Familiarity with vision inspection use and programming (Cognex VisionPro preferred)
- Demonstrates understanding of applicable technical concepts in automation and vision inspection
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to transition between the two
- Capacity to make independent sound decisions and independently manage priorities
- Communicating complex, technical concepts in simple, concise oral conversation and written documentation
