Mission of the Position
This position shall carry out technical support and training to North American customers (USA, Canada, Mexico) for engineering software product FEMFAT. To support local sales and marketing activities, benchmark projects shall be performed to demonstrate the capabilities of the product or to solve issues, in coordination with FEMFAT headquarter in St. Valentin.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical support for FEMFAT customers in North America for level 1 (standard usage), level 2 (advanced usage / issues) and level 3 (expert usage / new applications / serious issues together with headquarter)
- Help to fix installation or license problems together with customer's application or IT engineers
- Perform basic and advanced technical trainings
- Demonstrate the product to potential customers and at conferences, trade fairs and at MPT road shows, webinars and user meetings
- Perform benchmark projects for potential or existing customers to support local sales activities or to participate at technical working groups (e.g. SAE, ASME) coordinated with headquarter
- Close cooperation with local FEMFAT sales & marketing responsible person
- Help to organize bi-annual users conference regarding technical contents and acquisition of user lectures
- Help to improve technical quality of presentation material
- Report technical information about competitor products to headquarter
- Creation of use cases and application examples

Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
- Additional education regarding CAE (structural analysis) and durability of materials
- Experience in CAE analysis with ABAQUS with minimum 5 years
- Experience in fatigue analysis with FEMFAT with minimum 3 years
- Proficient on the computer including knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong customer orientation regarding support capabilities
- Strong communication skills with customers and within the local and global team
- Ability to present deep-dive technical contents in an easy-to-understand way
Work Environment
Office environment, 20% travel required. Occasional travel abroad.
