Mission of the Position
This position shall lead technical sales activities for engineering software product FEMFAT for the North American Market (US, Canada, Mexico) to expand market share. These activities include care for existing customers and acquisition of new customers in cooperation with the local support engineer and FEMFAT headquarter in St. Valentin.
Key Responsibilities

  • Acquisition of new FEMFAT customers in North America by sales and marketing activities
  • Expansion of sales volume with existing customers in North America
  • Continuous contact with customers regarding license status, technical issues, and requirements
  • Sales activities like product presentations at potential customers, conferences, trade fairs and MPT road shows, webinars and user meetings
  • Perform price negotiations with customer's purchase department in coordination with headquarter
  • Organize product benchmarks for potential customers together with local and global support
  • Track marketing opportunities (conferences, working groups, trade fairs, company tech shows)
  • Close cooperation with FEMFAT support & training responsible person
  • Perform level 1 support (standard usage), communicate level 2 support (advanced usage / issues) to local support and level 3 support (expert usage / new applications / serious issues) to headquarter
  • Administration of software quotations, license & maintenance agreements, and yearly renewable system forms together with headquarter
  • Organize bi-annual users conference in coordination with headquarter and acquire user lectures
  • Adaption of presentation material according to local market requirements
  • Report business status to headquarter in periodical intervals
  • Report commercial competitor information to headquarter

    • Follow safety rules.
    • Comply with requirements for the use or operation of machines or equipment.
    • Comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Create a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain a responsive and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Treat everyone with dignity, trust and respect.
  • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a technical field like Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design
  • Additional education regarding product marketing and sales
  • Knowledge of CAE software market with either minimum 3 years of application experience or minimum 1 year of sales experience
  • Willingness for continuous education (new FEMFAT developments, basics in fatigue analysis...)
  • Proficient on the computer including knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication skills with customers and within the local and global team
  • Experience to communicate with business and technical decision-makers
  • Ability to quickly find creative solutions in difficult situations
  • High motivation to fulfill targets of business plan regarding target customers and revenue


Work Environment
Office environment, 25-50%. Occasional travel abroad.
