Achieve is currently seeking a Facility Technician II-(HVAC) technician. Our ideal candidate is a great communicator with a positive attitude, who pays close attention to detail and accuracy and has a desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment. In this hands-on Facilities Technician II (HVAC) role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of multiple large scale HVAC systems in addition to maintaining an effective working relationship between Achieve and the various partners we work with to support and upkeep the Achieve campus in Tempe, AZ. The Facility Technician II-HVAC will demonstrate a level of professionalism through positive communication that will be respected by other service personnel and provide an exemplary level of service for our team and to our customers and a continuous focus on safety. Our ideal candidate will ensure all facilities matters are handled within our SLAs which include tasks such as: preventative maintenance, assisting facilities leadership with coordination of tenant improvements, facilities requests, re-stocking, repairing and maintaining office peripherals and furniture/cubicles for the offices, conference and other general areas, perform daily administrative, light maintenance, and business services tasks as needed along with miscellaneous duties as assigned.
This opportunity will be onsite Monday - Friday at our Tempe, AZ location and on-call rotation.
Position Responsibilities:
In addition to owning the overall maintenance of our HVAC systems, this position is also responsible for:

  • Monitoring of and responding to the ticket queue for facilities-related issues or requests from all campus employees. Coordinate for the resolution of any facility-related issues (power outages, plumbing problems, lack of water supply, office temperature, lighting, sounding alarms, etc.).
  • Regularly inspecting and servicing HVAC systems, generator/UPS systems, electrical components, fire alarms and suppression systems and other building systems to identify potential problems before they occur.•
  • Performing general maintenance duties including but not limited to light plumbing, installation of office peripherals, minor electrical and minor tenant improvements.
  • Ensuring adherence to federal, state and local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Acting as the lead technician on Life Safety systems, Kitchen Equipment and Fire Suppression System.
  • Troubleshooting maintenance problems to identify issues and necessary repairs.
  • Working collaboratively with Facility Leadership to ensure best practices are used to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
  • Adhering to all safety related procedures and protocol, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself, the team, campus employees and vendor partners.
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance in changing of filters, lights , ceiling tiles, etc.
  • Property inspection to keep areas cleans of debris and noting deficiencies to your supervisor.
  • Properly operate, maintain and store all maintenance equipment.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in commercial property / facilities maintenance.
  • 3+ years Contact/Call Center building experience is highly preferred.
  • Highly proficient with HVAC computerized building automation systems.
  • EPA 608 Refrigerant Certified or comparable.
  • Proven experience in reducing costs by reducing energy usage, managing vendors and warranties.
  • Possesses advanced knowledge of mechanical and facilities repair and maintenance.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined and elevated spaces.
  • Knowledge of commercial building plumbing, and fixture replacement.
  • Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage commercial lighting and schedule systems, including 120v, 277v, 240v, 480v.
  • Ability to lift weights of over 50 lbs regularly and walk 300,000 square feet of property daily.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an understanding of web-based work order systems. Computer and internet proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on technical tasks (drywall, painting, tile, electrical and other duties as assigned..)
