As an External Reporting Controller within the Product Control function, you will focus on Balance Sheet reporting and controls. You will be responsible for the production of Global and Regional Balance Sheet reports and ensure the integrity of financial statements. Your role will involve producing and overseeing external reporting submissions and collaborating with various functions to resolve control and reporting issues.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a daily, monthly, and quarterly production of Global and Regional Balance Sheet reports
  • Control, oversight, and integrity of the financial statements
  • Produce and oversee end-to-end control around external reporting submissions for Regulatory and External Reporting
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management
  • Drive coordination across various front & back-office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues accurately and timely
  • Complete ownership to produce all facets of the Balance Sheet analysis, reporting, planning, and forecasting functions
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis, including data reconciliation and investigation


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related area
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a control focus
  • Strong technical skills and experience working with large amounts of data (e.g., Excel)
  • Solid understanding of financial products
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Ability to multi-task with a flexible working style and prioritize deadlines with competing requirements


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience with Balance Sheet and/or P&L and month-end close process
  • Deep understanding of Fixed Income products, including financing and synthetic financing
  • Understanding of key accounting concepts to help drive business decisions
