Description and Requirements
Position Summary
Position responsible for registering Request for Proposals (RFP). The process consists of responsibilities currently performed by the Underwriting Associates and New Business Coordinators when registering (logging/assigning) RFP's from the brokerage community within MetLife U.S. Affiliate systems. The associate will be required to perform daily operations functions.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Determine if basic required information is provided within the Request for Proposal (RFP)
- Register cases in the intake system (Salesforce.com)
- Upload various documents into the intake system (Salesforce.com/ Livelink)
- Manually key data into Excel spreadsheets
- Create and distribute standard "Decline to Quote" letters to Sales Reps within iMPAQS
- Forward emails to on-shore escalation team that have missing information
- Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed by the Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Process Specific Skills
- Knowledge about the Insurance industry in US
- Knowledge about US Culture
Education
- Graduates or Diploma holders with at least 15 years of education
Experience
- 0 to 1 year of experience in insurance industry is required
Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
- Good Computer navigation skills
- Good keyboarding speed (Greater than 35 words per min)
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to escalate issues, if required
- Proven customer service skills
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Accounting/math problem solving skills
- Well organized and flexible with a sense of urgency approach
- Team work/ Managing Self / Adaptability
- Ability to work successfully in production/metrics driven environment
- Adaptability to change
- Strong understanding of systems
- Ability to handle feedback and be open to continuous process improvements
- Strong English skills that allow for reading, understanding and subsequent interpretation of the data
