Research Manager - Thailand
The Role

As part of our growth strategy, YouGov Thailand is on the lookout for dynamic Research Managers to join our team in Bangkok. This is a key Research Manager role in the Research Team of YouGov Thailand. You will be working closely with your Research team and clients, developing and managing client accounts and running diverse projects (including brand health tracking, customer experience, new product development, advertising test, PR study, etc.).
You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Thai and English, a willingness to learn and embrace a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
In addition, as you will be extensively involved in interacting with clients. The Research Manager must engage with clients, delivering excellent service and offering solutions tailored to their needs.
What will I be delivering?
- Project management: co-ordinate and manage complex projects either independently or as part of a team. Work with the Research Director and Research Team on project plans, cost, resources, deliverables and problem solving.
- Account Management: Working side by side with the Research Director on account management to understand client needs, advocate the best research practices and provide relevant and useful insights from research, ultimately to create client engagement and growing portfolio.
- New business development support: collaborate with New Business team to prepare quotations and proposals in response to research briefs from New Business Development Team.
- Data analysis and reporting; Analyse research results to identify key insights and demographic trends. Prepare clear, accurate and compelling reports.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with operational teams in YouGov’s Centre of Excellence (CENX) to ensure efficient fieldwork management, data processing and report preparing.
- Staff management: Manage 1-2 Research Executives, coaching and mentoring them through key aspects of their projects including questionnaire design, scripting online surveys, data analytics and report writing. You’ll be the key member to lead the entire research process from project set-up to delivery.
- Proactively identify ways to improve efficiency of operations, service delivery and profitability to ensure high quality outputs can be sustainably delivered within the research team.
Qualifications
What do I need to bring with me?
- Solid understanding of research design, online / offline and basic discipline of research methodologies, sampling, questionnaire design, questionnaire scripting, quotas and weighting and significance testing.
- Advanced analytical and numerical skills.
- A proactive with can-do and positive attitude to learning and helping others.
- Self-discipline and motivation.
- Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work across multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
- At least 5 years market research experience in a research agency (experience in online / offline research, custom study and syndicated study would be advantage).
- Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking, listening and presentation skills) both in Thai and English
- Thai citizen
